Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m Helen Boughen, an artist living on ‘Fig Hill Farm’ Queensland. I love taking notice of the little moments around me that really make up the big parts of my life that I’m grateful for – my children’s laughter, a pretty flower, a funny bird, singing together in the kitchen or the smell of a home-cooked meal.
How long have you been drawing for?
I’ve been creating my whole life- always loved it but I only realised it could be more than a hobby 3 years ago.
Where do you draw inspiration from?
My art is inspired by the playful, simple, happy moments that are often overlooked or taken for granted.
What is the most exciting thing you’ve seen your artwork on?
The most exciting thing I’ve probably seen my work on is the TV, other than that I loved seeing it on a tapestry.
What is your favourite style at the moment?
I’m loving minimal boho style at the moment and gorgeous typography/hand-lettering that some creatives are coming up with.
Where can we find you?
You can find me at www.fighillfarm.net or @fighillfarm on Social Media.
