I’m Lili Jacobsen, the artist behind Wattle Woman. I’m a proud First Nations descendant of the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi peoples and deeply honour the richness of my diverse Australian heritage. My artistic style blends Australian native flora and fauna with cultural motifs, aiming to celebrate a vibrant and inclusive Australian identity. Through this, I honour the strength and beauty of our multicultural heritage. Each of my artworks is a personal reflection of my life and surroundings. I honour cultural boundaries and do not paint Dreaming stories, as I am not a Custodian of them. In 2025, I am currently exploring the scale my art style which you will see this in my current work.
